Village Swag was creative permission to myself to explore art in all its complicated shades and textures. As a child growing up, my best drawing was stick figure people - while creative writing and avid reading came easily. Exposure to varied cultures elevated my palate and curiosity of Culinary Arts. In time, I began to find comfort and joy in trying different projects including failing miserably. Why? Playing and learning through artistic expression develops tools to heal emotional wounds. Most children thrive in these environments & this also applies to that inner child that lives in all of us.
